Jennifer Brewer
Jennifer was born and educated in Twickenham. She was a founder partner of Stone Rowe Brewer in 1976. Since her admission, Jennifer has practised in general non-contentious law, including private client work. She has also dealt extensively with Commercial and Residential Property work and Company law.
Jennifer leads a Private Client department specialising in Probate, Tax, Trust and Wills including Civil Partnership matters and tax-planning Wills.
Jennifer's Property and Commercial work has included:
- Property work for a national trade union
- Incorporating charities and advice on charity law
- Working with a local authority to set up Housing Associations
- Advising Housing Associations on developing shared ownership schemes
- Dealing with company acquisitions and sales
Jennifer's Wills and powers of attorney work has included:
- Giving regular presentations on Wills, Powers of Attorney and the Mental Capacity Act (see Probus article from Richmond & Twickenham Times)
- Being Trustee and legal advisor of a children's hospice during its development stage
- Advising on and preparing tax-planning Wills
- Acting as an Attorney and, in the case of vulnerable clients, closely managing their affairs
- Advising on the Civil Partnership Act
Jennifer's Probate, Administration, Trusts and Tax work has included:
- IHT and Capital Tax Planning
- Administration of Estates
- Setting up Trusts
- Administering Trusts as a Trustee or on behalf of Trustees
Jennifer is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
